Hyatt Regency Cincinnati Associates Volunteer with Mercy Franciscan
CINCINNATI (June 22, 2012) – In support of Hyatt Thrive, Hyatt’s global corporate responsibility platform, Hyatt Regency Cincinnati is giving back to the community by engaging in a volunteer day with Mercy Franciscan.
Six of Hyatt Regency Cincinnati associates will be working on preparing and serving sandwiches joining Hyatt colleagues around the world in a month-long effort to give back to their local communities. This continues Hyatt Regency Cincinnati’s partnership with Mercy Franciscan- the hotel held volunteer days last July and June.
This volunteer day is a key tenet of Hyatt Thrive and part of Hyatt’s Global Volunteer Initiative, which is a brand-wide effort that encourages Hyatt associates to improve the many communities around the world that they call home.
Hyatt Thrive empowers over 90,000 associates at more than 480 properties around the world to help communities do one thing – Thrive – by focusing on four areas: environmental sustainability; economic development and investment; education and personal advancement; and health and wellness.
“We are dedicated to the Cincinnati community and our associates are honored to be a part of Hyatt’s Global Volunteer Initiative, working with Mercy Franciscan,” said Bruce Flyer, general manager, Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. “Hyatt Thrive is a natural extension of Hyatt’s mission, which is to provide authentic hospitality by making a difference in the lives of people we come in contact with every day.”
The volunteer work also coincides with a long-standing tradition of celebrating Hyatt associates around the world. Celebrating community and its people is a global demonstration of Hyatt’s dedication to thriving communities where associates live and work.
